I love the smell of this cultivar. The RYTHM Brownie Scout offers a rather pungent aroma that is well preserved with the vacuum sealed lid. The jar is glass, again helping to preserve this great aroma.
Ok, so what’s it actually smelly like. The brand says “Spice, sweet, chocolate, diesel, earthy” in that order. I do agree, these are the notes I sensed, but on the nose I get more of the earth followed by diesel, and some sweetness following. I do get a bit of chocolate when I think about it, but I think these other aromas are more forward I think.
Flavor: 8/10
This is a rathe complex flavor I think. To start with I was getting a lot of B-Myrcene (.28%) and the Limonene(.87%), but on the exhale I was absolutely tasting a bit of the namesake in what was reminiscent of when my mom would make homemade brownies. Think like a high-end, rich coco powder. I do not like anything that’s overly food/candy flavored in cannabis, but this is quite nice especially in the evening after dinner.
Feel / Texture: 7/10
These are wonderfully cured and presented buds with frosty trichomes that make it a bit sticky. The buds are dense and would likely require a grinder to roll a joint from. I’m not trying to be picky but it’s a touch hard to work with due to how dense it is.
High: 8/10
I got quite ripped from just 1 small bowl. To make sure that was the case, I then smoked a tiny bowl. Yes, this is good weed indeed. I am a daily smoker, but still experienced what felt like time slowing down a bit as I settled into the high. I can see this being good for chilling and watching a movie. I don’t think it’s going to be what I’d reach for if you’re looking to go right to sleep, but very relaxing.

I think this is one of the best strains in NY I have tried yet. From it’s really appealing presentation both in packaging and product, to the aroma, taste and high, I love me some brownie scout.
