Aroma: 8/10
Platinum Life Breath greets you with an intriguing aroma right from the jar. Initially, there’s a hint of earthiness reminiscent of homegrown cannabis. However, once you handle the buds, a delightful citrus scent, akin to fresh orange peel, emerges, accompanied by a subtle diesel undertone. Despite the initial earthiness, the overall fragrance is quite enjoyable and promises a flavorful experience.

Feel / Texture: 9/10
The texture of Platinum Life Breath is impressive. The buds are sticky and properly dried, maintaining just the right amount of moisture. They feel voluminous and dense, a testament to their quality and careful handling.

High: 8/10
With a THC content exceeding 30%, Platinum Life Breath is undoubtedly a potent strain. As a hybrid, it offers a balanced high with both relaxing and cerebral effects. Despite my high tolerance, a single bowl was enough to achieve a satisfying high. It’s worth noting that this strain can cause dry mouth, which is uncommon for me, but manageable with a drink nearby.

Flavor: 7/10
The flavor profile mirrors the aroma, with a dominant orange citrus note and a hint of gas. There’s also a subtle taste that some might describe as cardboard-like, which could be attributed to the curing process. Despite this, it’s one of the better-tasting flowers I’ve encountered, especially when smoked in a bowl.

Breaking down this terpene profile is rather interesting. Leading the pack here is Beta-Myrcene. This is the “cat piss” or “ammonia” smelling terp, yet this really does not get the cat piss side of that, and is more gas/diesel. Also way down there at just .4 mg per unit is a rather rare terp in cannabis “valencene”.

Valencene is part of a group of larger, more complex terpenes called sesquiterpenes and is less common in cannabis than the similarly citrus-smelling limonene. Valencene derives its name from the Valencia nature, the plant in which it most commonly occurs.

The thing is, the combo of the Limonene which is at 25mg per unit and the terpinolene, I deff feel like the latter was more notable. IDK why this may be or if it’s just me but before looking at the COA I guessed that valencene would be here, I’m just shocked it tested so low.

Smoke: 7/10

The smoke on this is fairly smooth, while still being slightly harsh which is common for pretty much all flower I have tried in the legal program. This is just less harsh I guess.

Overall: 8/10

Platinum Life Breath was harvested on May 7th, and I’m reviewing it in mid-July, so it might have lost some terpenes or wasn’t cured optimally. While the flavor and aroma could be stronger, they still stand out, making this one of the more enjoyable strains I’ve tried recently. If you’re looking for a potent, flavorful hybrid, Platinum Life Breath from ADK Hemp Co. is worth a try.
