Aroma: 6/10
The aroma of B Noble Kush Mints is earthy, with an almost mushroom-like scent that reminds me of some truffle strains. There’s a slight touch of gas, but not enough to really stand out. It’s not quite my preference, as I usually go for gassier or skunkier profiles. However, compared to other New York cannabis, it does at least smell like cannabis rather than hay, which is a plus. While it’s not a bad aroma, it’s just not what I’m looking for.
Bag Appeal: 8/10
Visually, B Noble Kush Mints is very attractive. The buds look fresh, well-cured, and appealing. The trichomes are well-developed, which adds to the overall aesthetic. For those who care about how their cannabis looks in the jar or bag, this strain won’t disappoint.
Flavor: 6.5/10
The flavor is smooth, and it’s where the strain gets its namesake. On the exhale, there’s a lingering minty flavor that isn’t overpowering but is noticeable. In terms of the terpene profile, this strain is dominant in lemony, beta-myrcene, and beta-caryophyllene. That said, the lemon doesn’t come through much in either the flavor or the aroma. On the inhale, you get some earthiness, but the minty note is more pronounced on the exhale. The mint might not be for everyone, but I found it tolerable, even though I don’t generally enjoy mint-flavored strains.
Quality of Smoke: 7/10
The smoke quality is quite smooth. There was no harshness, and it burned evenly. This strain delivers a comfortable smoking experience, making it easy to enjoy without irritation.
High: 7/10
The high was initially mellow, but as time went on, it built up significantly. I experienced a strong, heavy-eyed feeling, along with a bit of the munchies (I definitely reached for some ice cream). It didn’t make me overly tired or energetic, but it did leave me feeling relaxed. As the high deepened, I ended up much more stoned than I expected, with my eyes looking redder than usual—definitely a powerful experience.
Brand Insight: B Noble
B Noble, the brand behind B Noble Kush Mints, was founded by Fab 5 Freddy and Bernard Noble in partnership with Curaleaf. It’s a socially-conscious brand focused on raising awareness about the unjust criminalization of cannabis, particularly Bernard Noble’s own story of serving seven years in prison for possessing two joints’ worth of cannabis. The brand donates 10% of its proceeds to organizations that help formerly incarcerated individuals transition back into society. This makes B Noble not just a cannabis brand, but part of a larger movement to address the societal impact of the War on Drugs.
